Our linear alpha olefins are the reactive intermediates used in the formulation of alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA). ASA is typically used as an internal sizing agent in paper and board to inhibit water absorption and to control the spread of inks in paper and board. ASAs can also be found in some fuel and lube additives, food modifiers, and epoxy resins.
