Polyacrylamide
Producers of polyacrylamide flocculants have been relying on Exxsol™ D80, D95, D100 and D110 fluids for years to formulate their water treatment products.
These Exxsol dearomatized fluids provide high chemical and oxidative stability and inertness to enable predictable performance during the reverse polymerization process. They are also excellent carriers for the formulation of reverse-emulsion polyacrylamides as a result of tight product specifications and quality control standards.
An ultra-low aromatic (ULA) version of Exxsol D100 fluid has been designed to achieve even higher performance capabilities.
Applications and benefits
- Consistent polymerization process, contributing to optimized polyacrylamide formulation performance
- Compliance with the current stringent regulatory and environmental requirements
- Optimization of safety (flammability) and product performance
- Maintains carrier fluid properties during prolonged storage of polyacrylamide emulsions
With an aromatic content below 0.01 wt%, the new product, Exxsol D100 ULA fluid, meets the stringent U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR) food contact compliance regulations.
Exxsol D80, D95, D100, D110 and D100 ULA fluids demonstrate very low human and aquatic toxicity levels. They are considered to be readily biodegradable based on EU regulations (OECD 301F).
